Advice
The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.
Background
The City has requested consideration of "No Parking Council Authorised Vehicles Excepted" in Zetland Avenue, Zetland as they are having difficulties in accessing the underground Green Square Town Centre Water Reuse Scheme’s offtake pump station pits.
The Green Square Town Centre Water Reuse Scheme provides recycled water to residential and council buildings within the Green Square Town Centre, thus preserving our precious drinking water and providing resilience during future droughts.
The Green Square Town Centre Water Reuse Scheme’s offtake
pumps are located underneath Zetland Avenue and access is via the pit-lids
within two parking bays. It is essential that the City
always has unobstructed access to the offtake pump station in case of
emergencies.
