Advice
The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.
Background
At the September 2022 meeting, the Committee endorsed the
proposed extension of the Castlereagh Street cycleway between Liverpool and
King Streets. The proposal included the partial removal of fire brigade parking
spaces near the City of Sydney Fire Station to facilitate a part time bus lane
on the eastern side of Castlereagh Street.
NSW Fire & Rescue has requested consideration for fire brigade vehicle parking spaces in Bathurst Street to offset the loss between 3-8pm Monday to Friday.
The parking changes were endorsed out-of-session by the
Committee on the 25 August 2023.
