Background

In September 2020, The Local Pedestrian, Cycling and Traffic Calming Committee endorsed the installation of an at-grade pedestrian and cycle crossing in Huntley Street, Alexandria, east of Burrows Road.

The City has performed a re-analysis of this site and is now proposing to further improve this crossing by introducing a raised pedestrian and cycle crossing, to help improve general safety in the area, as part of the City’s commitment to calm traffic and improve residential amenity.
