Decision
The Committee
carried the recommendation unanimously.
Background
Bourke Lane, Redfern, between Zamia and Telopea Streets, is a narrow laneway (approximately 4.4 metres wide) that facilitates waste collection for properties fronting Bourke and Kepos Streets.
Under existing conditions, the City’s cleansing vehicles are unable to safely access the laneway for waste collection.
To improve access to the laneway, it is
proposed to update the operating times of the existing “No Parking”
restrictions, and provide additional “No Parking” restrictions on the western
side of Bourke Lane during waste collection periods.
