Advice
The Committee unanimously supported the recommendation.
Background
In August 2021, the LPCTCC endorsed the implementation of
angled parking in Portman Street, Merton Street and Hansard Street, Zetland to
increase the availability of parking for residents in the surrounding area.
This proposal included additional footpath widening at all intersections
adjacent to the angled parking.
As part of detailed design development of the proposal, the
City has identified additional pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements
at the intersections adjacent to the endorsed angle parking proposal.
