Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Jones Street, Ultimo between the points 17.1 metres and 25.9 metres south of Quarry Street as "4P Mobility Parking Only 8am-10pm".

Background

The City's Inclusion (Disability) Action Plan 2021-2025 (IDAP) includes a series of actions to actively address barriers faced by people with disability.

One of the IDAP actions is to “continue to explore and implement strategies to increase access to on-street and off-street accessible parking and drop off points in the City of Sydney area”.

To improve access to parking for Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) permit holders, the City is proposing to install one timed "4P Mobility Parking Only" space in Jones Street, Ultimo.
