Recommendation

It is recommended that the Committee endorse the following changes on Parkham Street, Surry Hills:

(A)      The installation of a continuous footpath treatment, just east of Bourke Street; and

(B)      The removal of the existing raised threshold 6.2 metres east of Bourke Street.

Background

The City proposes to replace the existing raised threshold treatment on Parkham Street, Surry Hills, with a continuous footpath treatment, just east of Bourke Street, to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility, slow vehicle speeds and enhance the streetscape.
